Miracle, or power of the mind? Bradley Hill was told he would never walk again. Six months later he was back working as a personal trainer
In the summer of 2012 Bradley Hill, a leading personal trainer in London, underwent two life-threatening operations to treat a massive infection of the spine. He was told after the second that he would never walk again, or be able to move below his chest. Lying in the ward surrounded by acutely ill patients who had, like him, been given no hope, he began to focus on meditation and breathing exercises. He got movement back first in one finger, then more fingers, then a hand, then entire limbs. A month later he was walking and back at home. After four more months’ recuperation he was back working as a personal trainer. He continues to work on his rehabilitation, and hopes to use his story to inspire others who have been told they have “no hope of recovery”.
This is his story.
